PRAISE THE LORD! IT IS TESTIMONY TIME

LIZZY’S TESTIMONY

(This testimony is given by a sister of Lizzy who has sought her consent to share this to the GLORY of God. AMEN).

The God, who has called us into his eternal glory in Christ Jesus, after we have suffered a little while, will himself restore us and make as strong, firm and steadfast.  To him be power forever and ever Amen.

This testimony is about my sister in the person of Elizabeth Ama  Amoakoa. After so many years in nursing and working in the government hospitals,  she later becomes the senior nurse in one of the private clinics in Ghana.

She is a Christian who has the burden of giving to support the work of God.  However she started  experiencing frequent headaches and migraines; she also lost appetite and couldn’t eat properly coupled with experiences of dizziness and sometimes collapses. She started having seizures, changes in mood and blared vision. It is said that research has shown that the most common symptoms of a brain tumour are headaches and fits dizziness, seizures and many more. A growing tumour causes pressure inside the skull; it is called “raised intracranial pressure”. This causes headache, sickness and drowsiness. It can also cause fits and problems with your eyes; which my sister experienced all that.

A brain tumour presses on the brain tissue around it making it affect the parts of the body, or the body process, that is controlled by the brain. This means that brain tumours can cause a very wide range of symptoms. Physical symptoms can include weakness or numbness in a particular part of the body, which were symptoms my sister also experienced.

After a lot of medical examinations she was diagnose of brain tumour on the right side of the brain, which grew to the size of 6 x 6 x 5cm according to the medical professionals; Which needed immediate attention because the tumour had pushed off the optic nerves and could cause her to lose her eye sight and also could take her life if nothing is done imminently.

The company she works for gave her a choice to go to South Africa for her surgery and sponsored all payments of her treatment, flight tickets for both herself and her husband including hotel accommodation until the treatment was over.

After the first operation that lasted for 9 hours. The medical professionals also discovered that  she had another tumour in her saliva gland, and that one was also dealt with.  After the operation my sister’s husband was confronted by the surgeon to know if my sister is a Christian, because my sister did not bleed after the operation which came as surprise to them. And this is the  handy work of the Lord. I remember the bible says in psalm 91:14 that, “because he has loved me, therefore I will deliver her; I will set her securely on high, because he has known my name”.

Study also shows that you can encounter problems with one of your senses. Brain tumours can also cause personality changes and problems with thinking, speaking, remembering or concentrating.

According to my sister’s husband my sister was able to recognise him few minutes when she was brought to the intensive care unit, which is not always the case, because some do experience temporally or permanent memory loss.    But by the grace of God my sister’s issue proved otherwise as she had good recollective memory and good cognitive behaviour.  She also recovered mentally pretty well, although some part of her was paralysed and still having poor eyes sight where she  cannot see colours, big writings and many more.

During this year Easter convention by the Church of Pentecost- UK, I decided to get closer to the lord because I realise that I wasn’t in the will of God. So during the Easter my main request was to know him and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of his suffering which made confirmable unto his death, as Paul said. And after the convention I can see the changes in my life. The theme for that convention was JESUS A MAN ACCREDITED BY GOD WITH MIRACLE SIGNS AND WONDERS.

On the last day of the convention the Holy Spirit took its own course, people were called forward to be prayed for, and the man of God in the person Pastor Boateng also asked that we can come forward and intercede for friends and relatives, I went and stood in for my sister’s eye sight even though her mobility was still questionable, my mind was on her eye sight.

After the prayers a specific instruction was given, we were asked to call the people that we interceded for, and tell them about the convention, the theme and finally asked them about their condition if the situation is still the same they should be prayed for.

So I did just that and realised she was still the same, so I pray with her, after the prayer she said “ I felt a sharp pain in the eye but it is still blare, so  I based on mark 8:28 when the blind man said "I see people; they look like trees walking around." Then Jesus put his hands on him again and the man's sight was completely restored.  Based on this I prayed again and called later in evening to get some positive feedback, but she did not say anything, the next day I called and she confirmed that she can see very well.

And to the glory of God she is now walking climbing stairs going to work giving counselling to people at her working place. And also she can see all colours, indeed Jesus is a man accredited by God with miracles, signs and wonders. He (Jesus) has really proved that when he begins something he brings it to an expected end.  It is true that: God provides additional resources for protection that we can’t even see.

May God bless your heart for reading this testimony to His GLORY. If you hve a NEED, know that He is a man accredited by God with miracles, signs and wonders. AMEN.

THE POWER OF INTECESSORY PRAYERS… GAVE ME RELEASE FROM PRISON… ALLELUYAH!

Intercessory prayer is not the same as prayers for you, Intercession is praying with the real hope and real intent that God would step in and act for the positive advancement of some specific other person(s). It is trusting God to act, even if it's not in the manner or timing we seek. God wants us to ask, even urgently. It is casting our weakness before God's strength, and having a bit of God's passion burn in us.

The master builder Nehemiah prayed to God to bring about the rebuilding of Jerusalem and of his people. As they took their concerns to God, the key motivation behind these giants of faith was compassion. They loved the people, the culture, and the faith with a love like God's love, and it burned in them so much that they dared to take on God on their behalf.  God listened to their cries not by ignoring the wrongdoings which got the divine wrath kindled in the first place, but by saving at least some of the people and bringing them back to where they belonged.

I just want to thank the lord once again for his mercies, early this year my friend was arrested for using fake document in the university and taking public funds which she is not entitled for. She is a single parent of two children, the youngest is between 2-3 years. This worried me most, because my question was, who is going to care for them. Hearing this I quickly rushed to my pastor’s house in the person of Pastor George Kwaku Korankye, and Elder Ebo Hope, to mention few, even though she is not a member of this church.

That week we were blessed to have Pastor Amu Afropong in our midst and we had a retreat going on with the theme  “BELOVED I PRAY ABOVE ALL THINGS THAT YOU MAY PROSPER IN ALL THINGS AND BE IN A GOOD HEALTH EVEN AS YOUR SOUL PROSPERS” (3RD John verses 2-3). We had an all night, and Pastor Korankye asked as to intercede for some people and my friend was also prayed for.

Before going to pastor’s house I went see one of the lecturers whom I thought could do something to save the situation, but she said the situation is beyond her control, people sent in reference letters, but It did not help the situation. Therefore she was sentenced to ten month imprisonment. But the ten month turned to be two months and some days.

According to my friend, she accepted her fault and confessed her sins to the lord for forgiveness and believed she had been forgiven afterwards. She believes that she was forgiven because, it is the doing of the Lord; and she also knows that it is the prayer of saints that has set her free. In the prison, she said it was revealed to them that, people were praying for them even unknown people were interceding on their behalf.

She said other people who were imprisoned for the same or similar cases were being deported. Others they met with the same issue have also been left behind in the prisons. What made the difference with hers, were the prayers of the saints and the doing of the Lord.

God calls all Christians to be intercessors. It is God’s desire that every believer be active in intercessory prayer. What a wonderful and exalted privilege we have in being able to come boldly before the throne of Almighty God with our prayers and requests. Praise the Lord. AMEN.
